As the sun set over the ancient battlefield the encamped soldiers nervously prepared a meal which all knew could be the last they ever ate. Tomorrow they would attempt to hold this field against the army they knew was coming their way.
The scraping sounds of whetstones, the jingle of harness, the clank of spoons and ladles in cooking pots seemed eerie in the twilight; there was no other sound. The normal badinage of troops before a battle was conspicuously absent. No-one seemed to have the heart for chatter and verbal sparring.
Exactly what they would have to face the next morning, they did not know. One thing was sure though: This battlefield would run red with blood before it saw another evening.
Grouped here is a collection of models I have been working on for the Games Workshop Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game. I have concentrated on the forces of evil, but I am also going to add in a smattering of other models (you have to do the Fellowship, right? Maybe some other "Good" characters too, but I have no intention of actually building a "Good" army).

Great work mate! I really like the skin on the cave troll. And the red cloth on the orcs looks good.
